Xiang Hao Mu
Coach Mu Xiang Hao was previously a head coach of Chinese National Swimming team and Olympic team. In addition, he was an associate head coach of swimming team of Princeton University and the University of Iowa. His swimmers have consistently placed in the highest rankings in China for over 50 years. His club team swimmers have numerous state championships and have placed in the top of 16 nationally. Several examples of his students are: Zhuang Yong got Medal of the 3rd world swimming championships & Silver Medal of the 24th Olympic Games; Rebecca Soni got Gold Medal of 200 meter breaststroke in NCAA in 2006; Rob Leyshon got Men’s 200 meter breaststroke 3rd place in the world in 1999, etc.
He is a member of the American Swimming Coaches Association. He is a respected coach and clinician of international distinction. He is often called upon to lecture for International Coaches Clinics and the American Swimming Coaches Association.
Coach Mu American swimmers have become NCAA champions and have broken American National records in the 200 free. His club team swimmers have numerous state championships and have placed in the top 16 nationally. As recently as 1999, one of his swimmers went to he Junior Nationals and earned a bonus final championship. Coach Mu has published a multitude of articles on technique and swimming training methods. We at New York Xiang Hao Swimming Club are truly blessed to have him as a coach. Over the years, his indefatigable dedication to his swimmers is cause for great admiration.
